From Black Box to Clarity: Warp Code Opens AI Agents to Review
Warp has launched Warp Code, a feature update intended to improve transparency and collaboration between developers and AI coding agents. The new tool allows users to track all AI edits, review diffs, and modify code in real time, creating a more interactive programming experience.
The platform retains Warp’s established layout, with a command field, AI output window, and a side panel logging each step. Developers can make direct edits, highlight specific lines, and use Warp’s compiler to fix errors automatically. Founder Zach Lloyd said the aim is to give users clarity and oversight over AI code rather than blind reliance.
Warp is entering a competitive environment, with rivals including Cursor, Windsurf, Lovable, and coding agents from Anthropic and OpenAI. The company uses external models but differentiates through its collaborative approach. Growth has been strong, with 600,000 active users and $1 million in ARR added every 10 days.
