Google’s AI Mode expands globally, adds new agentic features
On Thursday, Google announced that AI Mode will be going global, reaching 180 more countries in English. Previously confined to a few regions, the feature is expected to expand to more languages soon.
AI Mode allows users to dive deeper into topics by asking follow-up questions directly in Search. The latest update brings agent-driven tools, starting with restaurant reservations. Soon, it will extend to booking services and event tickets.
The tool gathers details like date, time, location, group size, and preferred cuisine, then checks real-time restaurant availability across platforms.
This rollout is exclusive to AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S. via Google Labs. Ultra is Google’s premium plan at $249.99 per month.
Users will also benefit from personalized results tailored to their habits and a new “Share” option to send AI Mode outputs to others, helping with trip planning or event organization.
