Palo Alto Networks is eyeing the acquisition of CyberArk Software, an Israeli cybersecurity firm, for a reported $20 billion-plus, sources told the Wall Street Journal. The move would be the company’s largest acquisition to date.

The deal could be sealed as soon as this week, insiders said. It comes as cybersecurity threats escalate due to advances in AI technology.

CyberArk’s specialization in privileged access management aligns with Palo Alto Networks’ ambition to offer end-to-end security coverage.

This potential acquisition follows the company’s purchase of Protect AI, aimed at bolstering its Prisma AIRS platform to better protect AI-powered systems.
