Google’s new AI feature lets you virtually try on clothes

U.S. users can now digitally preview how clothes fit their own body thanks to Google’s newly launched AI-powered virtual try-on feature. Available across Search and Shopping, the tool lets users upload a photo to simulate how apparel would appear on them.

This is a shift from Google’s earlier features, which displayed outfits on a range of models. Now, the experience is entirely user-focused. Just tap the “try it on” icon, upload a full-length image, and see AI-rendered results instantly.

In addition to try-on tools, Google is enhancing its Shopping Graph with smarter price alerts and will soon introduce a visual discovery option for fashion and home decor. These tools use Google’s vision match AI to generate results from over 50 billion products.

Google’s Doppl app, released in beta, builds on the same generative tech and adds video previews of looks. Both products reflect Google’s growing push into personalized AI retail experiences.
